A Few of Our Friends

Since settling in Melbourne’s Bayside area in February 2022, we’ve been lucky to connect with wonderful locals and build lasting friendships. Our community means the world to us, and we’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant neighbourhood.

Here are a few of our favourite local spots and friends we love to support.

The Kingston Collective

The Kingston Collective is great community hub originally started by Nat Wilson and now run by Bec Monforte of Silver Lioness Marketing. It's a community for small business owners based in the bayside area of Melbourne where they organise co-working days, local events, local advertising and more.

The Coffee Chief

The Coffee Chief is a great coffee cart that once used to be a horse float and mostly trades down at Parkdale beach every morning, with a little holiday to other areas or events every so often!

Organic Bay Distillery

Organic Bay Distillery is a family owned and operated small boutique distillery based in Bonbeach, Victoria. Its a partnership between two carpenters, Dean and Dave, who have always shared a passion for fine spirits and finally took the leap to start their own distillery.

Beer Belts Victoria

In late 2020, Nat Wilson (founder of Beer Belts Victoria (originally Bayside Beer Belt) & Kingston Collective) started exploring her local bayside area and was surprised to discover how many breweries there were in such close proximity to one another.

In early 2021 (in between Melbourne lockdowns), the Kingston Collective started running Craft Beer & Spirit Tours in an effort to create a fun activity for locals whilst showcasing and supporting the local breweries & distilleries in the area.

In January 2022, the Kingston Collective was awarded a State Government Agribusiness Grant to further develop the craft brewery tours and turn this into a region that both locals and visitors could explore and experience. Beer Belts Victoria runs bespoke, interactive, educational and fun tours that showcase the unique craft community in Bayside, Eastside & Cityside. Since then, Nat has sold Kingston Collective and is focussing on driving beer tourism in Victoria!

Photobat

Photobat is a Melbourne photographer who has been capturing awesome families, businesses, artists, comedians, and anyone who needs a photo since 2000.

For all his life, he's had a camera in his hand and been having photo adventures with people. In that time, he's come to realise how important a families story is to capture and has become quite obsessed with it.

He doesn't believe in saying “cheese” or “smelly socks” because expression in a portrait should be real, we don’t have time to have fake laughter in our world, so that is why he keeps things relaxed and fun making even the most camera nervous person have a good time and love the final artworks.
